Cee & Kay

In the bustling world of street culture and fashion, the tale of two individuals, Big Cee and L.A. Kay, intertwines across continents and decades. L.A. Kay, hailing from Japan, embarked on a journey to Los Angeles in pursuit of unique products for resale back in Japan. Fate led him to the "Classic Auto" Lowrider Shop, where he encountered Big Cee, a seasoned figure in the lowriding scene. Despite the language barrier, their shared passion for the lowrider lifestyle bridged any gaps.

After several trans-Pacific flights, L.A. Kay not only mastered English but also established the renowned "GFL" Gangster For Life clothing line. His brand gained prominence with the likes of Snoop Dog, The Dog Pound, RBX, and Jay Z wearing the GFL attire in the late '90s. The clothing line resonated not only in the inner city of Los Angeles but also reached far corners such as Japan, New York, and Houston. The bond between Big Cee and L.A. Kay endured, fueled by their mutual love for lowriding.

In 2008, inspired by the streets of Compton, Big Cee ventured into the fashion realm with "Urban Hustle Wear." The brand, specializing in stylish Compton shirts, quickly gained global recognition, with numerous stores in Japan carrying their unique designs. Fast forward to 2023, and L.A. Kay extended an invitation to Big Cee to explore the rich culture and thriving market in Japan. Witnessing the untapped potential, Big Cee and L.A. Kay joined forces, drawing inspiration from East Side Sakura, to birth "Original Hood Made."

More than a brand, Original Hood Made is a lifestyle, a testament to authenticity. Crafted by real people from the streets for those in the streets, the brand embodies the spirit of the urban hustle. The partnership between Big Cee and L.A. Kay not only transcended borders but also encapsulated the resilience and creativity born from the streets, evolving into a cultural force that resonates worldwide
